Upgrade Laptop Computer Memory

When you do replace the laptop computer memory you need to conduct a little online research first. You will need to look up your computer make and model. You can do that by going to the manufacturers website and finding the support and drivers section. There you can input your computer make and model number, and ask for specifications on the model.

The manufacturer will then list the features of that particular model including what kind of memory the machine has. If you can not find this information on the manufacturers web site, just do a Google search for your make and model spec sheet.

You should be able to find the specs on that particular laptop, including the location of the ram. Most ram slots are located under a small plastic lid on the back of the computer, other laptop memory is located underneath the keyboard, but you will need the spec diagrams of the machine to know where the screws are that will let you unasemble the keyboard.

Ram that is located on the bottom of a laptop is the easiest to change. You only need a small watchmakers screw driver to unscrew the lid and you will see the ram there.
